These terms govern your access to and use of Freecourse. By using our services, you agree to these rules, which ensure the platform runs smoothly and fairly for everyone.
Welcome to Freecourse. By accessing or using our website, content, and courses (collectively, the “Services”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”), as well as our Privacy Policy.
Freecourse reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via a prominent notice on our website or by email. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your binding acceptance of the new Terms.
2.1. Account Creation: To access most Services, including enrolling in courses, you must create an account. You agree to provide a valid and current email address.
2.2. Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Freecourse cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
2.3. Age Requirement: To create an account and use our Services, you must be at least 13 years old. To purchase paid content or become an instructor, you must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of legal majority in your country.
3.1. License Grant: When you enroll in a course (whether free or paid), Freecourse grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the course content for your personal, non-commercial, educational purposes only.
3.2. Prohibited Use: This license does not give you any right to reproduce, redistribute, transmit, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, or otherwise transfer the course content. Sharing your account access with others or illegally downloading and sharing content is a direct violation of these Terms.
4.1. Content Ownership: Instructors retain full ownership of the content they publish on Freecourse (“Instructor Content”). By publishing, you grant Freecourse a license to offer, market, and sublicense your content to users on our platform.
4.2. Instructor Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your Instructor Content. You represent and warrant that you have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to authorize Freecourse to use your content, and that your content does not infringe on any third-party’s intellectual property rights.
4.3. Content Removal: Freecourse reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate, at our sole discretion.
5.1. Pricing: Course prices are displayed in Euros (€) and are determined by Freecourse or its instructors. A 20% Value Added Tax (VAT) will be applied to all purchases as required by law.
5.2. Instructor Payouts: Instructors receive 70% of the net revenue (after payment processing fees and taxes) from their course sales. A 7% fee is applied to each withdrawal request.
5.3. Refund Policy & Right of Withdrawal:
You agree to use the Services for lawful purposes only. You are strictly prohibited from:
- Uploading or sharing any content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on copyright.
- Using any automated means (scraping, crawling) to access or collect data from the Services.
- Attempting to interfere with the platform’s security or gain unauthorized access to other user accounts.
- Harassing other users or instructors, or posting spam in comments or forums.
7.1. “As Is” Service: The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantee that the Services will meet your requirements or that your use will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7.2. No Academic Guarantee: While our courses are designed to be effective, we do not guarantee any specific academic outcome, including exam success. Your results depend on your own effort and study.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion, without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.
10.1. Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Freecourse.
